A four-inch high equipment pad cast monolithically with a slab-on-grade. Number three reinforcing bars with standard hooks at each end are spaced at twelve inches on center around the pad perimeter. Slab-on-grade reinforcement continues into the pad, and the top surface of the slab beneath the pad is roughened to a one-quarter inch amplitude for bond. A three-quarter inch chamfer is applied to the pad edge, with one-inch clear cover maintained for the reinforcement.
