Shelf brackets are anchored at twenty-four inches on center with a maximum projection of one foot two inches. For steel stud walls, two number twelve sheet metal screws secure each bracket into backing per detail A on figure A-24. For wood stud walls, four-by-ten blocking is installed with Simpson A34 connectors at the top and bottom of each end to the stud. Brackets are spaced at twenty-four inches on center with backing provided by others.
