A 1-1/2-inch nominal pipe size schedule 40 steel pipe is joined by an internal 1-1/4-inch nominal pipe size schedule 40 steel pipe sleeve. The connection is secured with 3/8-inch grade 5 hex head bolts with lock nuts spaced across the 1-foot 6-inch total length of the sleeve assembly. The side view and cross-section show the concentric pipe arrangement and bolt placement.
