This parallel pressure reducing valve station consists of a high-flow and a low-flow pressure reducing valve, each preceded by a strainer and a shut-off valve. The assembly includes a full-size bypass line with a normally closed valve to allow for maintenance without interrupting service. Each branch is equipped with pressure gauges with cock valves, Pete's plugs, and unions for serviceability. All valving is sized to match the pipe diameter indicated on the plans, with size reductions occurring only at the valve connections. This configuration is typical for both hot and cold water supply systems.
