The gas-fired water heater mounts to a six-inch concrete housekeeping pad with seismic bracing secured around the tank body. The piping assembly incorporates a recirculation pump, check valve, and a balancing valve set to 0.5 gallons per minute. A temperature and pressure relief valve installs at the top of the tank, with thermometers on the supply and return lines. Unions at typical connection points facilitate maintenance. A gas regulator sits on the gas supply line, and an expansion tank connects to the system piping. Flue and intake piping route from the top of the unit.
