A three-eighths inch Sammy X-Press fastener anchors directly into the lower flute of a composite metal deck. A vertical threaded rod connects to the anchor using a nut and washer. An alternate configuration uses a one and five-eighths inch strut channel secured to the metal deck with two number ten Tek screws, supporting a threaded rod with a strut nut and square washer.
