The water heater piping assembly connects a two-inch cold water supply line with an inline expansion tank (XT-1) and a two-inch hot water supply line maintained at 140 degrees Fahrenheit. A hot water recirculation line (HWC) incorporates a circulator pump (RP-1) and a thermometer. A temperature and pressure relief valve discharges through a full-size pipe to a floor drain. A drain valve connects to a pipe routed full size to a floor sink. Two-inch by eighteen-gauge galvanized sheet metal straps secure the water heater tank to the wall. A drain pan is provided underneath the water heater and piped to the floor sink.
