A sewer main connects to a two-way cleanout assembly extending up to finished grade. Each cleanout features a cast iron cleanout in a flanged housing with a heavy-duty cast-iron cover, typically two per assembly. A minimum 18-inch by 18-inch by 4-inch concrete collar surrounds the housing unless surface concrete is used. The surrounding concrete surface is sloped and maintained at a minimum thickness of 4 inches from the building cleanout to grade.
