The roof drain body is set into the steel deck assembly with a receiver pan and secured from below using an underdeck clamp. Insulation surrounds the drain body beneath the roofing membrane, which is clamped tightly into the drain fixture to prevent water infiltration. An extension piece connects the drain body to the piping system below.
