A vent or pipe passes through a framed opening in a metal roof assembly. The metal roofing is layered over a base flashing set in a full bed of roof cement below built-up roofing. A vent flashing fits over the pipe and laps the roof surface, secured with a draw band. Elastomeric sealant tape is placed between the pipe and the collar, finished with an application of sealant.
