The gas supply line transitions through a manual shut-off valve before dropping into a vertical drip leg with a capped end extending at least six inches. A gas pressure regulator steps down the pressure from two psi to four ounces, followed by a minimum straight run of ten pipe diameters. The assembly continues through a flexible gas connector limited to eighteen inches maximum length and connects to the equipment via a ground joint union.
