A vertical plumbing pipe passes through a core-drilled opening in an existing concrete floor slab, sized to provide a quarter-inch annular space around the pipe. An Anvil Figure 261 riser clamp supports the vertical pipe at the top of the floor slab. Fire-stopping is installed at all rated floors. A caulk seal is applied where insulation does not occur, and post-tension decks require X-ray scanning prior to core drilling.
