A steel pipe lateral brace connects to a structural steel member using a Tolco Fig. 980 swivel sway brace fitting and a one-half-inch bolt with a nut and washer. The brace maintains an angle between forty-five and fifty-nine degrees relative to the support. A Tolco Fig. 4AL pipe clamp secures the opposite end of the brace to the main carrier pipe.
