An air handling unit drain pan connects to a drain line matching the size of the drain pan nipple or meeting uniform plumbing code requirements. The piping incorporates a trap with dimensioned depths for blow-through and draw-through configurations, calculated from the air handling unit total pressure with specified minimums. A pipe open to the atmosphere is positioned above the drain pan overflow and routed with a downward pitch toward the drain. The discharge terminates at an open drain with a one-inch minimum air gap. Trap sizing, installation height, and condensate pump coordination follow project notes.
