A sanitary vent pipe penetrates a metal deck roof assembly carrying rigid insulation and a roofing membrane installed by the general contractor. A pipe sleeve passes through the roof deck, fitted with a pipe flashing boot and secured with a clamping ring and hose clamp. Sealant is applied per manufacturer instructions, or welded to the EPDM roofing by the roofing contractor. The vent pipe maintains a minimum twenty-four inch height above the finished floor when within ten feet of a roof parapet, and remains positioned at least fifteen feet away from any air intake. An interior pipe support hanger is located within eighteen inches of the pipe joint.
