The condensate drain line connects to the heat pump drain pan using a typical union and a bronze-braided flexible connection with copper sweat ends. A threaded brass cleanout plug is provided above the trap assembly, constructed from type L copper tubing and wrought copper fittings. The drain line maintains a two-inch minimum size matching the drain pan nipple, and the trap depth equals the air conditioning unit total static pressure plus one inch, with a two-inch minimum. All interior condensate drain lines are insulated per plumbing specifications.
