A pipe penetrates through a fire-rated wall or partition encased within a pipe sleeve. Any gaps between the sleeve and the wall or partition are sealed with cement. The assembly is also applicable to interior non-waterproof floor construction, while waterproof and other floor constructions require referencing project specifications. Pipe sleeves and escutcheons must be installed in accordance with the specifications article.
