A parallel redundant circulating pump piping configuration incorporates isolation valves, check valves, strainers, and unions or flanged connections. Each pump branch is isolated upstream and downstream by gate or ball valves to allow maintenance without interrupting flow. A check valve prevents backflow through the idle or non-operating pump. A strainer is positioned on the main inlet line to protect the pumps from particulate debris.
