This partition wall consists of metal studs spaced at 16 inches on center with 3 5/8 inch fiberglass batt insulation. The wall is anchored to the underside of the structure with a continuous metal runner, sealed on both sides with continuous acoustical sealant. The inner layer of gypsum board extends to the deck, while the outer layer terminates above the ceiling line. One side of the partition features two layers of 5/8 inch Type X gypsum board, while the opposite side utilizes one layer of 5/8 inch Type X gypsum board paired with one layer of QuietRock 510 gypsum board.
