The cold water supply line originates as a three-quarter-inch pipe, transitioning to a half-inch pipe at the connection to the flow control valve. The supply assembly includes a shut-off valve, a solenoid valve, and a flow control valve, with the solenoid and flow control valves provided by the disposer manufacturer. A half-inch National Pipe Thread connection feeds the disposer unit. A chrome-plated anti-siphon vacuum breaker, equivalent to a Watts LF228A-C, is mounted exposed on the wall twelve inches below the ceiling. Escutcheons are required at all pipe penetrations into the wall. In trough systems, the water connection is located at the end of the trough rather than directly on the disposer.
