A condensate drain line terminates above a funnel drain with a one-inch air gap, maintaining separation between the indirect waste and the sanitary system. A trap primer connected to a half-inch cold water supply with a shut-off valve feeds into the trap to prevent seal evaporation. The funnel drain connects downward into a P-trap and ties into a two-inch sanitary waste stack with a two-inch vent extending upward. The vertical distance from the funnel rim to the center of the waste outlet ranges from eighteen inches minimum to forty-two inches maximum.
