A concrete grade beam is detailed with a rectangular blockout to accommodate a storm pipe penetration. Two number five Z bars with a minimum four-foot lap are placed at both the top and bottom of the beam around the blockout. Horizontal reinforcing bars terminate with a standard three-inch concrete cover at their ends. A three-inch clear distance is maintained around the storm pipe with a maximum blockout length of twenty-four inches.
