A pipe hanger is suspended from the overhead structural deck using a half-inch diameter Hilti KB-TZ anchor with a two-and-a-half-inch embedment per ICC ESR-1917, connected via a half-inch threaded rod and a coupler nut. A thermal or protective insulator is installed between the pipe and the hanger strap. A diagonal brace consisting of a one-and-five-eighths by one-and-five-eighths-inch framing channel is anchored back to the deck at a forty-five-degree maximum angle, secured with a half-inch diameter hex bolt, washer, and channel nut. A vertical rod stiffener angle is clamped to the threaded rod with a minimum of three clamps per rod when dimension 'L' exceeds fifty times the diameter of the rod.
