A ground-mounted hose bib box is set flush within a finished grade or concrete slab over gravel sub-base. The valve housing connects to a three-quarter-inch iron pipe size cold water supply below. A drain port on the hose bib valve features tubing routed to the nearest indirect drain when located within the building envelope. The depth of bury is determined by local conditions and requirements.
