An AMC-1A ambient and line sensing mechanical thermostat with a forty-degree Fahrenheit fixed setpoint controls the stand pipe heat trace system. An FTC-P power connection kit with an end seal and heat trace connector links the heating cable to the power supply. The electrical contractor provides and installs interconnection wires and junction boxes between all heat trace piping prior to the installation of insulation. Mechanical insulation is applied over the pipe assembly as a typical installation.
