A pipe, conduit, or support post penetrates a single-ply membrane roof assembly surrounded by a flashing membrane extending up the vertical surface. The top edge of the flashing membrane is secured with an aluminum tape and a stainless steel hose clamp with a cushion strip. Approved urethane sealant is applied at the top edge of the clamp to prevent moisture intrusion. The vertical flashing membrane rises a minimum of 8 inches above the roof surface, with a 1-inch minimum overlap at the top clamp. A note specifies a minimum spacing of 12 inches between adjacent roof penetrations and flashings.
