An overflow roof drain assembly penetrates a steel roof deck and insulation layer, secured by a receiver pan and an underdeck clamp with threaded fasteners. Roofing membrane clamps directly into the drain body at the roof line. A sixteen-gauge galvanized sheet metal plate acts as a hood, secured to the top of the strainer and extending two inches beyond the outside of the drain bowl to minimize rust staining from overflow discharge.
