About this detail

Primary and secondary condensate drain connections, a floor sink assembly set within a concrete structural slab and concrete topping with a waterproofing membrane, and a trench backfill profile detailing compaction requirements and pipe embedment. The floor sink is cast iron with a flange and flashing clamp, fitted with a strainer level with the concrete surface and connected to a deep seal p-trap and indirect waste piping. A trap primer valve (Sioux Chief Model #695) with a half-inch copper trap primer pipe supplies water to maintain the trap seal. Trench backfill details specify minimum cover requirements, machine backfill in six-inch lifts with ninety percent compaction, and selective hand backfill with loose earth, sand, or gravel.
