This connection consists of a wide flange beam head welded to a steel end plate of thickness tE. The beam flanges are connected to the plate with five-eighths inch fillet welds, and the beam web is connected to the plate with five-eighths inch fillet welds. The end plate features four standard bolt holes arranged symmetrically around the beam profile. Dimensions E and F define the plate edge distances and bolt hole spacing relative to the centerlines of the pipe bent head and end plate.
