A cast-in-place concrete pier cross-section features circular ties and vertical reinforcement sized per schedule. A minimum clearance of two and one-half inches is maintained if cased, and three inches if uncased. Spiral or individual ties enclose the vertical steel, maintaining a six-inch minimum dimension referenced to note eight.
