This drawing outlines the spatial relationship and concrete encasement requirements for piping passing near or under building foundations. Piping crossing within three feet below the bottom of a footing must be encased in concrete, extending at least six inches under and eighteen inches wider than the sleeve across the full width of the footing. Trench excavation lines must maintain a minimum slope and clearance, with the contractor responsible for shoring and sheathing to prevent caving until backfill is complete. Penetrating pipes enter through sleeves and are caulked as required. Structural drawings take precedence if discrepancies arise.
