The heat pump drain pan connects via a typical union to an ME Products Co. model L-41SB2-075 bronze braided flexible connection with copper sweat ends. Type L copper tubing with wrought copper fittings routes the condensate through a properly sized trap and a threaded brass cleanout plug. All condensate drain lines within the building require insulation matching the plumbing specifications. Trap depth equals the air conditioning unit total static pressure plus one inch, maintaining a minimum depth of two inches. The drain line maintains a size at least equal to the nipple on the drain pan.
