An air conditioner condensate drain line connects to the unit drain pan via a union and requires sizing at least equal to the drain pan nipple. The assembly incorporates type L copper tubing with wrought copper fittings and includes a threaded brass cleanout plug at the top of the vertical riser. Condensate pipe height "H" equals the fan inlet pressure in inches of water column plus one inch, with a six-inch minimum. All condensate drain lines within the building require insulation per plumbing specifications.
