A pipe penetrates a cast-in-place concrete floor slab and a concrete building foundation wall through a cast iron wall sleeve and a Metraseal mechanical sleeve seal. The cast iron sleeve is cast in place and extended a minimum of one-half inch above the finished floor, as well as a minimum of one-half inch past the foundation wall. Pipe insulation is applied where required along the vertical pipe run. Flanges are positioned to provide adequate clearance for the mechanical seals.
