A floor drain is set within a finish floor on grade with a waterproof membrane located beneath the shower floor drain. The drain connects to a cast iron deep seal p-trap complying with Utah code amendment 15A-3-310.1.E, maintaining a depth of seven inches for two-inch and three-inch pipes and eight inches for four-inch pipes. Standard no-hub couplings join the vertical drop and horizontal run. Piping transitions from PVC below grade to cast iron above grade using no-hub couplings or adapter couplings when necessary.
