The cast iron body of the roof drain penetrates the roof structure and is secured from below by an underdeck clamp with threaded fasteners. The waterproof membrane turns down into the sump over the roof insulation and is secured by a cast iron clamp device with an integral gravel guard. A cast iron dome strainer sits atop the drain body to prevent debris from entering the plumbing system.
