An insulated metal curb sits atop the roof decking and roofing assembly, supported by structural steel spanning between the main roof structure. A galvanized sheet metal cap serves as counter flashing on top of the curb, backed by support steel as required. The piping passes vertically through the opening, secured by a pipe support clamp attached to the underlying structural framing. A weathertight caulk bead seals the full circumference of the pipe where it exits the curb, maintaining the required minimum height above the roofing per local code.
