A schedule 40 steel galvanized support pipe penetrates the roof deck and extends upwards with a hose valve mounted at the top. The support pipe is secured to the roof deck by a one-eighth inch by six inch steel base plate sized to span two deck corrugations and welded directly to the deck. A three-sixteenth inch steel end cap plate is welded to the top of the support pipe with a centrally located hole for a three-quarter inch wrought copper bulkhead fitting, sealed watertight. The hose valve connects to the bulkhead fitting to supply cold water.
