The gas supply line enters from the main system through a manual gas shut-off valve followed by a drip leg with a minimum six-inch length. A gas pressure regulator is installed downstream of the shut-off valve along the horizontal pipe run. Temperature and pressure ports are positioned both upstream and downstream, with the downstream port located not less than ten pipe diameters away from the regulator. A pipe union precedes a ninety-degree elbow connecting to an eighteen to twenty-four-inch gas flex line leading to the appliance.
