A compound pressure gage is installed across the strainer ports using three-eighths inch Type L copper tube and fittings for all sensing piping. Typical ball valves are provided on each sensing line for isolation. The sensing piping is supported independently with pipe clamps on Unistrut racking anchored to the finish floor, ensuring no sensing load is transferred directly onto the strainer body.

DETAIL GRAPHICALLY SHOWS A Y-STRAINER, HOWEVER STRAINER DIFFERENTIAL PRESSURE GAGE APPLIES TO ALL STRAINER TYPES (IE - BASKET, SUCTION DIFFUSER ETC.) 2. SUPPORT SENSING PIPING WITH PIPE CLAMPS ON UNISTRUCT RACKING WITH PIPE CLAMPS ANCHOR TO THE FINISH FLOOR. DO NOT SUPPORT SENSING PIPING ON STRAINER.
