A twenty-gauge galvanized sheet metal drip pan is suspended from overhead construction using three-eighths-inch diameter Hilli Kwik Bolt TZ anchors with a minimum two-and-a-half-inch embedment and minimum two-inch by twenty-gauge galvanized sheet metal straps spaced at twenty-four inches on center. The drip pan features watertight soldered end caps and slopes toward the drain connection location. A one-inch diameter brass tailpiece for the condensate drain is soldered watertight to the drip pan and connects to a one-inch diameter drain routed to the nearest indirect waste receptor. A moisture sensor is wired to the building automation system as specified.
