The plumbing station receives a three-inch cold water line from the water service, branching into parallel two-inch and two-and-a-half-inch cold water lines containing one-third flow and two-thirds flow pressure reducing valves. Each PRV assembly incorporates normally open shutoff valves and typical unions for maintenance isolation. A three-inch cold water bypass line with a normally closed valve allows flow diversion around the pressure reducing valves. A pressure relief valve set at eighty psi protects the downstream piping, which extends upward as a three-inch cold water line feeding building plumbing fixtures. A full-size dirt leg is provided at the base of the riser.
