A cold water supply line connects to a reduced pressure principal backflow preventer assembly that includes a normally closed bypass valve and normally open control valves. A water meter is installed on the main line alongside an automatic reset water meter connected via unions. A backwash line extends from the assembly and routes with an air gap to a floor drain.
