Suspended MEP systems secure to structural steel framing using I-beam clamps fastened to the bottom flange. A threaded rod extends downward from the clamp, secured with lock nuts for vertical adjustment. Turnbuckles provide tensioning and length adjustment along the drop rod. Restraining straps of one-eighth by one-inch steel provide lateral stability where required by seismic or vibration control standards.
