Domestic water pipes are supported from the structure using threaded support rods fitted with top and bottom nuts and washers. Clevis type hangers and trapeze assemblies constructed from steel angles or Unistrut secure the piping. Vibration isolators are incorporated in mechanical rooms and as specified. Insulation shields formed from twenty-gauge galvanized steel at least twelve inches long protect insulated piping, featuring continuous vapor barriers and banded with stainless steel or plenum-rated nylon. Anchoring methods to the structure require submittal to the structural engineer for approval.
