Concrete masonry unit walls feature typical vertical reinforcement placed within concrete-filled cells. Corners bond at least one-half of the masonry units together. Ladder ties occur at every other course, and number two ties are spaced at sixteen inches on center vertically. High-lift grouting between five and eight feet maximum requires inspection and clean-out holes at the bottom of the vertically reinforced wall cells.
