The rooftop unit gas supply piping rises from below the roof and connects to a gas cock followed by a test tee or sediment tee per International Fuel Gas Code 410.2. The line continues through a pressure regulator stepping down from 2 PSI to 4 ounces of gas pressure. A minimum straight length of ten pipe diameters leads to an additional test tee before terminating at a flexible connector attached to the rooftop unit regulator and control valve. Sizing and exact routing are determined per plan.
