An electronic trap primer assembly is housed within a 16-gauge powder epoxy-coated steel cabinet installed in the wall, supplied by a main cold water pipe. A top connection provides a 1/2-inch cold water supply pipe with a shut-off valve, feeding a 24 VDC or 120 VAC control unit with a 24-hour timer and relay, followed by a lead-free vacuum breaker. Copper Type L 1/2-inch cold water trap primer piping runs from the assembly through the wall and routes down to a plastic manifold with connectors, extending to floor drains or floor sinks. The plumbing contractor is responsible for protecting the pipe when covering with concrete.
