A rainwater leader routes water down an interior wall behind furring to a horizontal steel pipe sleeve that penetrates the exterior wall assembly. A downspout nozzle is bolted directly to the exterior wall face and sealed with one-inch-wide caulk around the penetration. The discharged water empties onto a splash block provided by others positioned twelve inches below the nozzle outlet.
