A natural gas pressure regulator (Maxitrol 325-7L or equal) is installed in horizontal piping with a vent limiting device or exterior vent. A full port shut-off valve is located within three feet of the equipment, followed by a capped tee facing down for a pressure gauge connection and sediment trap. A minimum of ten pipe diameters downstream of the pressure reducing valve or over-pressure protection device, another capped tee is installed for a pressure gauge connection. Installations over two psi include an over-pressure protection device (Maxitrol OPD210 or equal) meeting ANSI Z21.80. A union and solid piping or properly sized corrugated stainless steel tubing connects the line to the equipment.

FOR INSTALLATIONS OVER 2 PSI PROVIDE WITH OVER-PRESSURE PROTECTION DEVICE (OPD) TO MEET ANSI Z21.80 PER SECTION 410.1 OF THE 2018 IFGC. PROVIDE MAXITROL OPD210 OR EQUAL.
